Two people were sentenced to nine and seven years in prison for abducting elderly women on the streets of Debrecen. The Debrecen District Court imposed a three-year correctional education on their juvenile partner, a spokesman for the Debrecen Tribunal said on Monday.
Dénes Dobó stated that the defendants had been found guilty by the court of first instance of the crime of multiple robbery, robbery and misuse of a cash substitute means of payment and a document.
According to the facts, a 26-year-old man committed the attacks with a 26-year-old woman, and in some cases, a 15-year-old girl was there to help.
Walking or driving the streets of Debrecen, they looked out for their victims: they were all elderly, hard-moving women. With a sudden motion, they pulled the bag out of their hands and ran away. The money was taken out of the bag and then thrown away along with the documents, credit card, and other valuables in it.
The verdict was not final, the prosecutor, the first-degree defendant and his defense counsel requested a three-day reflection period, and the second and third-order defendants and their defense counsel appealed for relief.
